  Getting out of south Florida without using i-95 or Fl. Turnpike February 1-10 We really hated to leave south Florida, even though the temperatures were running ten degrees lower than normal it was still better than South Carolina. It was still very cold at Myrtle Beach with many nights dipping down into the 20’s. That’s very rare, almost unheard of on the coast.  (At the time we didn’t know that the cold would linger through February and March. January 1 2025 On the first of January we left Easterlin County Park and drove to our January destination in Homestead. By noon we were all set up on our site in Southern Comfort RV Resort. We have stayed here many times during our snowbird sojourns, and it never changes. It is a misnomer to call it a resort, but it’s not a bad campground. This is our first time back here since before covid and the only things we noticed was the park is nowhere near as occupied as it always was in past winters.
