2nd trip to Trainer PA

August 1-8 2025

I returned to Trainer PA to do some more work on my son’s mobile home to better prepare it for winter. I drove up by myself with the truck loaded down with tools and equipment. I left at 4am in the morning and drove the 500 distance in one day. I am staying in the Marriot Residence Inn for a little more than I would be paying the KOA campground if I had brought the RV.

New 220 volt feed from  power pole

New service panel mounted on back of RV

My primary objective was to re-engineer the power hookup from the park utility pole to the RV. He now has the full capacity of the park service, which is a 60-amp 220-volt service. We buried the service cables in conduit and installed a new circuit breaker panel.

12,000 BTU heat pump installed

I then installed a Mini-Split heat pump for auxiliary heating. He now has redundant heating and Air Conditioning systems.

The last big job we did was anchoring the trailer to the ground with augers made for securing mobile homes.

Shed Larry has installed on his lot

We did a few other small jobs, as much as we could do with the time we had.

On Friday at about 1:30 am I loaded the truck and started the 10 hour drive home. I like driving in the middle of the night, I arrived in Myrtle Beach around noon.
